12-04-16: Gutshot: from iPoker to ENet

Gutshot.com has migrated from the iPoker Network to Merge Gaming and Italian-focused network ENet following the news that iPoker had splitting out the larger poker brands from the rest of the skins under consideration, reports poker information site PokerFuse.

The company's recently acquired Dutch-facing poker room pokerhuis.com has also made the network move from iPoker.

GutShot's latest migration follows other moves in its five-year history from Microgaming to Cake Poker to iPoker, and now Merge and ENet. Despite joining Merge Gaming, GutShot will reportedly not accept US play.

12-04-15: Zoom arrives in Italy

Zoom Poker, the fast poker game of Pokerstars, reaches the Italian market. Play Money tables already show up in the lobby, with real money play to come.

Zoom Poker is a game wherein players are taken to a different table as soon as the player folds a hand, making the play incredibly fast and the players untraceable. It gives the feel of a pure, yet adrenaline-heavy poker experience. The rules of the game stay the same, however the strategy changes because of the different feel and thus style in certain situations: why should you keep yourself in a mediocre hand when you can be dealt the next hand immediately after folding? Of course the opposite players do not see your reaction until it's your turn. You can also choose to follow the hand until the end by pressing CTRL while folding. This gameplay, developed after the fulminant success of the Full Tilt's Rush Poker, allows a very fast and compact play experience with nearly no time wasted between the hands.

Other poker rooms are planning Rush Poker variants too, given the quickly increasing popularity of this game they should hurry. The first site to follow after Pokerstars will probably be Microgame (peoplespoker.it) with Fast Poker.
